Q: Do you have to go to church to enrol a child at KCS?

A: No. In fact, the majority of our children come from families that have little or no church background. We welcome all children to our school, and we do not discriminate on the grounds of religion or race. It is important however, that families recognise that we are a Christian School and that living out and teaching the Christian Faith is a core component of our school.

Q: Is enrolling a child at KCS expensive? What about hidden costs (donations, books, uniforms etc.)

A: KCS is a private school - as such, we do require fees to be paid by parents of children enrolling at the school. We do however seek to keep our fees to a minimum (in fact, we are one of the lowest fee paying schools in Australia.)

Many of the staff at the school are parents - and we understand that school can be an expensive proposition. For this reason, we seek to ensure that all our costs are fair and reasonable - uniforms are no more expensive than what most parents would pay for at a public state school, and our booklists are likewise economical.

Payment plans are available for parents - you can pay fortnightly, monthly, by the term, or if you are able, up front for the year.

Q: What about parents on low incomes or those who have large families?

A: We have a fee structure that takes into account families with low incomes, and families with multiple children.

As a guide, we seek to help parents in any way we can. We cannot offer free education, but we are able to offer discounts and other forms of support to ensure that every family who is considering enrolling their children at KCS is able to do so.
