On Monday afternoons the students all meet at the auditorium and then they go to the clubs they select for the afternoon. Clubs were started a couple of years ago and the children get to choose their own activity from among a choice of many different ones. They mix through out the age group so you can see Year 7 students working next to Pre Primarys on a number of different types of activities.
This fits in closely with our sense of community with in the school and the Virtues of Cooperation, Sharing, Responsibility, Patience, Helpfulness, Friendliness, Creativity and Caring.
This program would not work so well if it wasn’t for the wonderful volunteers who come in on a weekly basis to help run some of the activities and assist the children.
One of the new clubs this year which has been a great hit with the boys is the ‘Techno Club’ where they have had the opportunity to pull apart old electronic equipment. (None have been put back together though!) Last week they put a flat pack wardrobe together.
